DJ Yung Nas

Naseem Johnson professionally known as DJ Yung Nas is a 24 year old American Disc Jockey and Music Producer from Wilkes Barre, Pa. He is known for his DJ performances on social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.

Personal Life

The Young DJ Nas was born on March 4th, 1999. In his early years, Nas listened to the radio everyday. He to listen Power 99 & Hot 97. His inspiration for DJing came from listening to professional radio DJs like DJ Diamond Kutz and DJ Camilo Before becoming a DJ. Naseem graduated from Coughlin High School in 2017 and attended Penn State University to pursue his career as a TV/ Radio Personality. He earned his bachelors in Telecommunications.

Early Career

Nas began DJing at the age of 17. As a Rookie and Beginner DJ, his first controller to start off with was the Pioneer DJ SB2. Nas started his career off with house parties and regular events, and then after gaining enough experience, he moved up to college parties and nightclubs where his name sparked. As a beginner DJ trying to better his skills, Naseem practiced his DJing skills everyday until he felt his craft was ready to post. He watched a lot of Youtube videos and read a lot of articles which helped him progress with his scratching.

Late career

Later in his career, DJ Yung Nas went on air for three internet radio stations. He did a 1 hour mix for Philly Jamz 95.3fm on Tuesday & Friday evenings from 5pm-6pm. He worked with New York City's Way Up Fm Thursday nights from 7pm-9pm, and also mixed for Chicago's Fusion Radio that would air his mix every other Sunday. DJ Yung Nas takes another leap in his career as he voluntarily DJ's his college radio station, Penn State's WKPS The Lion 90.7 FM every Friday night from 11pm -1am. While DJing for The Lion he would also go live on tiktok where thousands worldwide would tune in to listen.

Now

DJ Yung Nas continues to release his fast tempo energetic mixes and DJ routines on social media. Nas's talent has earned him recognition from a NBA prospect player, making DJ workout mixes. He DJed a party for a Safety drafted to the NFL in 2020. Naseem was also recognized as a "Top Ten 2021 DJ To Look Out For"! DJ Nas is on a mission to earn his way into major venues and festivals to share his energy.
